Sometimes, the most powerful missions begin with a single step toward home. I founded Well by Well with a deep connection to Northern Uganda – it’s where I was born. Our very first well project in Laboye Village, Pader District, brought me full circle. It was a way to give back to the community that shaped me and a chance to see firsthand the life-changing difference fresh water can make.
The Challenge
Before the Well by Well project, the people of Laboye Village, a community of 300-400, faced long, difficult journeys to collect water. [If possible, add a detail about the distance they traveled or how it impacted women and children specifically]. This daily burden took time away from education, work, and family.
The Transformation
Our new well has changed everything! Now, clean water is easily accessible within the village. The journey for water has been cut in half, freeing up precious time and energy for the entire community.
Voices from Laboye Village
[If possible, insert 1-2 short quotes from villagers about the change the well has made. Even simple statements like “My children have more time for school now” are very powerful]This is Just the Beginning
Seeing the impact in Laboye fueled my determination to help even more villages. With your support, Well by Well can continue to transform lives across Northern Uganda, one well at a time.
